Flip Design + Home Staging Kitchen Strategy

This project was completed using a combination of Flip Design Consulting and Home Staging to create a kitchen that feels bright, modern, and easy for buyers to connect with—without unnecessary replacements.

The kitchen already had a solid foundation with white cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances. My role focused on improving the overall look and feel through design direction and strategic updates, rather than structural changes.

One of the key design decisions was addressing the existing backsplash. It featured an older mosaic style that no longer felt current. Instead of replacing it, the backsplash was painted white, instantly giving the kitchen a cleaner, more modern look while keeping the project efficient and cost-conscious.

To add warmth and visual interest, pendant lighting with woven shades was added above the island. This introduced texture and softened the space while maintaining a timeless feel.

Seating was kept simple and modern, using black stools to create contrast and define the island area without making the space feel heavy or cluttered.

As part of the Home Staging process, the kitchen was styled with light décor and subtle greenery to bring in warmth and a lived-in feel, while still allowing buyers to imagine their own style in the space.

The result is a kitchen that feels fresh, balanced, and ready for showings—showing how thoughtful Flip Design decisions paired with Home Staging can modernize a space, respect the budget, and improve buyer perception without overdesigning.
