Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between home staging, redesign, and house flipping design?
Home Staging
Home staging transforms a space without remodeling.
It focuses on arranging furniture, adding décor, enhancing lighting, and making small adjustments so the home photographs well and appeals to buyers.
No construction, no demolition — just visual presentation.
Redesign
Redesign improves your home for your own everyday living.
This may include updating paint colors, refreshing layouts, replacing décor, or reorganizing spaces to make them more peaceful, functional, and aligned with your lifestyle.
House Flipping Design (Flip Design Consulting)
Flip design is completely different from staging.
It focuses on renovation decisions before construction begins — choosing the right materials, colors, layouts, flooring, tile, lighting, hardware, and finishes so the home looks modern, cohesive, and valuable.
It often involves layout changes (like removing walls, adding islands, reworking bathrooms) and is aimed at selling faster and for more.

What is Flip Design Consulting?
This service is for investors, homeowners, and realtors who need guidance on materials, colors, layouts, and finishes before starting a renovation or flip.
The goal is to help you avoid costly mistakes, choose the right upgrades, and create a modern, cohesive design that increases buyer appeal and ROI.
What is the difference between home staging and redesign?
Home Staging prepares a home for sale to attract buyers and increase value.
Redesign focuses on improving your space for YOU — making it more functional, peaceful, and aligned with your lifestyle.
What should I expect during our first visit or virtual session?
In-person: We walk your space together, discuss your goals, and outline a clear plan before any work begins.
Virtual: After purchase, you complete a simple questionnaire. I then create a detailed digital report tailored to your style, needs, and budget.
Do you bring your own décor, or use what I have?
For redesign and organizing, I primarily use what you already own — rearranging, refreshing, and adding accents if needed.
For staging, I may bring accessories or recommend budget-friendly items from your shopping list.
Do I need to buy new furniture?
Not necessarily.
Many transformations happen simply by reworking your existing pieces, refreshing accessories, or adding a few strategic touches.
Can you help with small projects, like a single room?
Absolutely.
Even one room can transform how a home feels — or how it photographs for buyers.
How long does a typical project take?
A quick styling session may take just a few hours.
Larger redesigns, organizing, or after-loss projects can take several days.
Every client receives a personalized timeline.
How do you handle projects after the loss of a loved one?
With empathy, patience, and respect.
I help families sort belongings, donate items, and redesign the space to support healing.
What is a Memory Box?
A Memory Box is a handcrafted keepsake box created during after-loss services.
Meaningful items — photos, letters, small belongings — are placed inside with the message:
“Open when you miss me.”
It’s a gentle way to preserve memories.
What happens to donated items?
Donations come specifically from my After-Loss Support Service, where families choose to give new purpose to items or furniture that belonged to their loved ones.
These donations never go to thrift stores.
Instead, I work directly with community centers, churches, and local organizations to support families in true need — including those experiencing hardship, loss, or recovering from natural disasters.
Whenever possible, the receiving families pick up the donated items directly, ensuring they go to a meaningful home and make an immediate impact.
